Applications and Quality Assurance Engineer
Based in Hong Kong...Reports to Supplier Relationship Manager
Job Description :
- This role requires a strong background in Electrolytic, Film and Power Film Capacitors
- Responsible for assisting our customers in the proper application and selection of capacitor solutions.
- Reading customer requirements/ specifications, and using this information to determine the best capacitor solution.
- Developing specifications for custom capacitors and working with the Purchasing group to obtain vendor quotes.
- Leading discussions with customers for specification clarification, or to better understand customer needs
- Becoming trained in and acting as an expert in capacitor applications to assist Marketing and provide customer support, as needed.
- Train IC Hong Kong Sales Team in technical aspects of our product line.
Work with the USA Engineering team to;
- Maintain the Approved Vendors List Including the selection, qualification and approval of new vendors.
- Perform periodic factory audits of all Approved Vendors
- Assigns inventory part numbers and constructs standardized descriptions for all new parts.
- Reviews all requests for new capacitors to assure that a current part can not satisfy the requirements.
- Generates specifications for all new custom component parts
- Coordinates failure analysis and corrective activities for all failed parts.
- Responsible for arranging component failure investigations and root cause analysis
- Assists IC USA Engineering Team in communications with Vendors
- Participates in New Product reviews for the purpose of component selection and standardization.
- Responsible for Incoming Quality .Assurance at Hong Kong warehouse..
- Provide capacitor Specification Sheets and drawings standard and nonstandard part numbers.
- Creating and maintaining suppliers capacitor manufacturing specifications, these specifications include the Manufacturing Processes, Winding Specification, Winding Machine Setup, Assembly Diagrams, Test Specifications, in process and final Quality tests and Bill of Materials
